Join Our Team as a Field Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of our Collision Avoidance System (CAS) technology on light and heavy mining vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and commission CAS systems on site
  • Act as the site representative and face-to-the-Customer on behalf of Wabtec
  • Manage site installations, including overseeing sub-contractor resources
  • Conduct scoping activities prior to installation for customer review and approval
  • Ensure EHS compliance and continual improvement of safe work practices
  • Maintain accurate and timely project / service delivery records
  • Prepare site-specific documentation for the project
  • Train personnel on the installation and operations of the CAS system
  • Provide on-demand customer service and support, including troubleshooting and planned maintenance
  • Perform ongoing site maintenance work as required to ensure high availability of equipment
  • Conduct installation quality audits
Requirements:
  • Heavy Vehicle - Mining Auto Electrical Experience
  • Minimum 3 years Mining experience
  • Intermediate ability with Microsoft Office
  • Site Supervision Experience – Trades
  • Experience with networking systems (LAN / WAN)
  • Gathering customer inputs and translating to solution requirements
  • Managing changing work priorities in a dynamic customer site workplace
