Job Overview

The role of Assistant Director Regulatory Intelligence requires a leader to effectively manage a team responsible for developing, coordinating and providing high-quality intelligence and analysis to inform strategic, operational and tactical planning and operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of regulatory intelligence capabilities and products to support regulatory activity.
  • Provide expert intelligence analysis on complex issues and identify opportunities, solutions and strategies to address contentious, long-term and emergent issues.
  • Establish effective communication systems both internal and external to ensure stakeholders are consulted and information is disseminated as required.
  • Deliver briefings and other documentation to clearly communicate findings of analysis to influence decision making.
Key Qualifications
  • Strong experience in stakeholder engagement, particularly with regards to sensitive issues.
  • Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to understand and communicate complex findings.
  • Strong organisational skills and capability to self-manage competing priorities while working under tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work independently and as part of geographically dispersed teams.
Selection Criteria:
  • Senior management experience in government or related environments.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and building strong networks.
  • Experience working with data analytics tools and technology.

This is a non-ongoing opportunity for up to 24 months. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead a team and make a significant contribution to the development of regulatory intelligence capabilities.
