About this role:

Aspect Personnel is seeking an experienced Senior Statutory Planner to join one of their Local Government clients in the southeastern suburbs. This full-time, 3-month contract offers a competitive hourly rate and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to an integrated approach within the Planning Department, providing advice on statutory planning issues and preparing reports for senior leadership.
  • Investigate, inspect, and process planning applications, including complex cases, and represent Council at tribunal hearings.
  • Prepare Committee and Council reports, draft policies, and engage with stakeholders on planning matters.
  • Represent Council at functions, meetings, and seminars, showcasing a positive public image.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in statutory planning, preferably in Local Government.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
