Key Role Details

The role aims to promote football participation across SA.

  • This position is part of the SANFL Game Development team, responsible for participation programs and relationships with AFL, Community clubs, and volunteers.

The successful candidate will drive zone strategy, grow participation, and deliver quality experiences in Auskick, Superkick, and other programs.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop effective relationships with stakeholders, evaluate program quality, and implement improvement initiatives.
  2. Focus on growing Australian Rules junior participation programs and the SA school environment.
  3. Provide outstanding communication, administration, and support projects as required.

This role involves regular weekend and evening work during the football season, with travel across the zone. Strong consideration is given to candidates residing in close proximity to the zone.

About the Ideal Candidate:

You must be an experienced leader with a demonstrated knowledge of Australian Rules junior participation programs and the SA school environment. Your skills should model success while developing others and achieving strategic objectives.

  • You will have relevant tertiary qualifications, a DHS Working with Children Check, a current South Australian Drivers Licence, First Aid, and strong administration and planning skills.
  • Ambassadors of football pathways will thrive in this environment, balancing accountability with empowerment.

We value your ability to deliver results and maintain key criteria: strategic planning, experience building relationships, effective people management, leadership, and communication skills.

An empathy and understanding of Australian Rules football at various levels are essential, along with experience working with children in a school or sporting environment, and a working knowledge of Child Safe Environment Practices.
