Job Title

Role Summary:

This position oversees the daily operations of ground handling services at an Australian airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service standards.
  • Develop strong relationships with airline customers, airport stakeholders, and partners for seamless operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements by implementing innovative solutions.
  • Manage workforce planning, recruitment, and training initiatives to drive growth.
  • Optimize performance and resource allocation to minimize overtime.
  • Oversee regular audits, incident investigations, and reporting to key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in ground handling services at an Australian airport.
  • 5+ years' experience in people management with a strong ability to confidently manage teams.
  • Deep understanding of airport regulations and compliance.
  • Strong grasp of airline customer expectations regarding safety and compliance.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, maintain high standards, and pay attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Australian Employee Relations legislation.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities empowering individuals and building effective teams.
  • Resilience in overcoming operational and workforce challenges.
  • Confidence in participating in recruitment processes and team building.
  • Strong aptitude for learning new skills and using various IT and software programs.
