Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Compliance: Drive and enforce safety and compliance standards in accordance with airline and company standard operating procedures.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate cohesive relationships with airport authorities and airline stakeholders, providing transparent and timely communication on daily operational performance.
  • Workforce Management: Oversee recruitment processes, identifying opportunities for growth and promoting a just culture that encourages incident reporting and prevents threats to safety and compliance.
  • Performance and Resource Management: Manage staff performance, provide objective feedback, guidance, and support, and efficiently plan and schedule daily resources.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in ground handling services at an Australian airport.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in people management, with a strong ability to confidently and effectively manage people.
  • A deep understanding of airport regulations and compliance.
  • A thorough grasp of airline customer expectations regarding safety and compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities, empowering individuals and building effective teams.
  • Resilience in overcoming operational and workforce challenges.
  • Confidence in participating in the recruitment process and team building.
  • A strong aptitude for learning new skills and using various IT and software programs.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
