Care Specialist for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the provision of education and support services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing adults, children, and their families.
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital part in shaping outcomes for individuals and families by developing and implementing strategies that promote effective communication, listening, speech, language, and play.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement tailored approaches to support communication development in Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals across various age groups.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with parents and professionals to optimize adult, child, and family well-being.
- Deliver Auslan tutoring sessions using engaging and accessible methods.
- Provide expert advice on hearing aid technology and recommend suitable resources for language and communication development.
- Enhance understanding and appreciation of Deaf culture within our organization and community.
- Recommend age-appropriate materials and tools to facilitate language and communication growth.
- Coordinate service delivery through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
