The salary range for this position is approximately AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage contracts for thermal, pumped hydro, renewable, and battery assets, ensuring compliance and driving commercial performance.
  • Shaping asset service agreements, integrating new assets into trading strategies, and collaborating across Physical Markets, Forward Trading, and Trading Operations teams.
  • Liaising with the Digital and Compliance team to implement system changes required to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Working with the Portfolio Development team during the negotiation of service agreements and evaluation of new opportunities.
  • Leading internal reviews to monitor financial performance of contracted assets in spot and forward electricity markets, recommending improvements.

Requirements:

  • Strong commercial acumen, project management abilities, and effective negotiation skills.
  • Expertise in spot market operations, generation assets, and energy sector compliance.
  • Tertiary qualification in a numerate or engineering discipline.
  • Passion for driving operational and commercial performance outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to adapt to internal and external needs.
  • Conceptual and analytical thinker combined with the ability to take complex problems and provide simple solutions.
