We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Business Partner to join our team at GFG Alliance. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance and Governance: Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with all applicable GFG Alliance health, safety, and environmental policies and standards.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement local site health, safety, and environmental procedures and processes to meet GFG Alliance standards.
- Leadership and Support: Support the site manager and business managers by championing the site health, safety, and environmental committee, and providing guidance and support for health, safety, and environmental representatives.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver health, safety, and environmental training to teams on site.
- Return to Work: Support the completion of risk assessments related to health, safety, and environmental hazards, and facilitate return to work on site.
- Education: Relevant bachelor's degree in engineering, science, health, safety, or a related field.
- Qualifications: Post Graduate qualifications in safety, or occupational hygiene, and Cert IV – in Training and Assessment.
- Experience: Injury management and return to work experience, and expertise in safety programs across manufacturing, production, or service operations.
- Knowledge: A thorough understanding of Australian health, safety, and environmental legislation, particularly with NSW context and subordinate legislation and codes of practice.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability, and experience with regulators (e.g., SafeWork NSW, EPA, Department of Planning).
