Strategic Risk Manager

This role plays a vital part in cultivating and maintaining a proactive risk culture.
As a Risk Business Partner, you will work closely with key stakeholders to embed contemporary risk management practices. Your expertise will be invaluable in identifying, analyzing, and managing risks that impact strategic objectives and operational resilience.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with leadership teams and risk champions to provide expert advice on risk analysis and mitigation strategies.
- Supporting business units in identifying, assessing, and articulating current and emerging risks relevant to strategy, projects, and operations.
- Providing guidance on risk treatment options and control effectiveness to ensure alignment with the Enterprise Risk Framework.
- Driving the implementation of risk management tools and processes to enhance risk awareness and accountability.
- Facilitating key risk processes such as risk self-assessments, incident management, and KRI monitoring.
- Championing a strong risk culture by promoting risk awareness, education, and proactive risk management practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related asset management discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a risk management role, preferably in the energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure sectors.
- Technical domain expertise combined with an enthusiasm for the value of risk management.
- Proven ability to identify, assess, and articulate risks relevant to business strategy and operations.
- Expertise in providing guidance on risk analysis, treatments, and control effectiveness.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal stakeholders.
