Strategic Risk Manager

This role involves providing expert advice and facilitating the identification, analysis, and management of risks impacting business objectives and operational resilience.
As a trusted advisor, you will partner closely with stakeholders across the business to uphold contemporary risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a trusted risk advisor and dedicated business partner for leadership teams and risk champions.
- Facilitate the identification, assessment, and articulation of current and emerging risks relevant to the business unit's strategy, projects, and operations.
- Provide guidance on risk analysis treatments and control effectiveness, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Risk Framework.
- Drive the effective implementation of the Enterprise Risk Framework and additional tools.
- Manage the continuous improvement of the organisation's risk management tools within the business unit.
- Facilitate key risk processes, including risk and control self-assessments, risk and incident management, and key risk indicator (KRI) monitoring.
- Champion a strong risk culture by promoting risk awareness, accountability, and proactive risk management practices.
- Support the business in effective identification, recording, investigation, and resolution of risks, incidents, and issues.
- 5+ years of experience in a risk management role.
- Experience in the energy, utilities, or similar highly-regulated industries would be highly regarded.
- A strong background in building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Expertise in facilitating the identification, assessment, and articulation of current and emerging risks.
- Proven experience in providing guidance on risk analysis, treatments, and control effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to champion a strong risk culture within the business unit.
