Business Strategy Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Strategy Consultant to join our team at Westpac Group. As a key member of our Group Strategy team, you will play a critical role in driving strategic recommendations that align with our company's ambition and customer-focused outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement data-driven customer and business insights for strategic projects
- Apply structured problem-solving and sophisticated analysis to draw conclusions across a range of business issues
- Undertake detailed analysis and modelling, draw compelling insights, and provide recommendations to support critical decision-making of senior executives
- Work closely with other team members to understand issues, develop, and evaluate strategic options in response to topical issues
- Develop specific strategic solutions for problems and provide advisory services to business leaders
As a Business Strategy Consultant at Westpac Group, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from new proposition design to organisation optimisation and business improvement. You will be responsible for developing specific strategic solutions for problems and working closely with SMEs across the Bank to provide advisory services to business leaders.

Requirements- Pure strategy or management consulting experience (1-2 years) in a tier 1 consulting firm, a boutique strategic consulting agency, private equity, or in industry corporate strategy roles
- Strong quantitative background with strong academic credentials and the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly
- Strong focus on customer and commercial outcomes, excellent collaboration skills, and ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders at different levels of seniority
- Financial services expertise preferred, but not mandatory
- Strategic thinking skills, defined as the ability to creatively approach and structure complex, potentially unfamiliar issues
- Exceptional analysis skills, complex business modelling skills (preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills both orally and in writing
- Experience in developing slides and storylines for senior management
- Ability to work well within a team environment, develop relationships, and share workloads
- Ability to manage to deadlines and deliver on time with high quality
- Strong attention to detail
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve problems
