Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity in the field of drilling operations? We are seeking an experienced Ions Coordinator to join our team.

The Ions Coordinator will be responsible for planning and coordinating drilling operations, including coring procedures, equipment checks, and risk assessments. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough job-specific planning, including equipment recommendations, hazard identification, and mitigation strategies.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop and maintain equipment checklists to ensure that all necessary safety protocols are followed.
  • Coordinate coring procedures, including processing and shipping core samples.
  • Collaborate with the Drilling Team to establish time and cost estimates for each job.
  • Work closely with rig and laboratory personnel to determine the best work area and layout for each job.
  • Interface with Company subsurface teams, core laboratories, and core handling crews to ensure seamless execution of drilling operations.
  • Attend daily operational meetings to stay informed about ongoing projects and discuss any concerns or issues.
  • Assess core condition at the laboratory base and compile end-of-well coring reports.
  • Prepare draft invoices for review by the Drilling Team and interface with Performance Leadership (PL) for design and operation changes as needed.
  • Manage changes in procedures and equipment, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Review local Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) information and distribute it throughout reporting lines.
  • Initiate QHSE incident and accident reports, ensuring timely closure and lessons learned.
  • Train and mentor Senior Field Technicians, Assistants, Trainees, and Drilling Solutions Engineers to enhance their knowledge and skills.
