About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, providing mental health services that are tailored to their unique needs.

As a culturally sensitive mental health practitioner, you will play a vital role in facilitating access to mental health services for local communities. You will work collaboratively with the integrated mental health and substance use service team to provide care that is respectful and compassionate.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have relevant qualifications and experience in mental health or a related field. You will also need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans that address the complex needs of your clients
  • Facilitate access to mental health services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within local communities
  • Work collaboratively with the Integrated Mental Health and Substance Use Service team to provide culturally sensitive care
