Inventory Control Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized professional to fill this entry-level position within our Buying team at Costco's Head Office in Lidcombe.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Raising and managing domestic and international purchase orders is a key aspect of this role.
  • A thorough review of inventory across all warehouses, depots, and the e-Commerce site is essential for success.
  • Planning and forecasting sales plans and Open to Buys across multiple categories requires strong analytical skills.
  • Maintaining accurate item and supplier records by updating changes such as price, descriptions, delivery specifications, and technical product information is crucial.
  • Collaborating with Marketing and e-Commerce teams to set up, coordinate, and manage marketing promotions is vital.
  • Providing support to the Buyer and Assistant Buyer with various merchandise projects is an important aspect of this role.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Marketing (Channels), Supply Chain, Accounting/Finance, Communications, or International Business is required.
  • Proficiency in AS400 is necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • The ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure is critical.
  • Strong evaluation and analytical skills are necessary for success in this role.
