This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of people affected by domestic and family violence.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Violence Specialist to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing crisis intervention, safety planning, court support, and ongoing counselling to those affected by domestic violence.
About the Role:- Provide crisis intervention including intake and assessment
- Offer crisis counselling and ongoing DV counselling
- Assist at the Domestic Violence Court with information and referral
- Work closely with the police on improving the safety of people affected by domestic violence
- Engage in group work and community education
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client work
Your work will be critical in ensuring that people affected by domestic violence feel safe, empowered, and supported throughout their journey.
About You:To qualify for this role, you will need tertiary qualifications in social sciences. While experience is preferred, we also welcome applications from new graduates, as training and upskilling can be provided for the right candidates.

- Knowledge of domestic violence dynamics
- Experience working in culturally diverse settings
You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
