Job Opportunity: Support Services Coordinator
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Services Coordinator. In this role, you will provide critical support services to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence and/or homelessness.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the complexities surrounding domestic and family violence and its impact on families and communities. You will be passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing immediate support to women and children impacted by domestic and family violence
- Conducting risk assessments where domestic and family violence is identified
- Developing strong networks and referral pathways to support desired outcomes
- Collecting and recording information for accountability, evaluation, and reporting purposes
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Experience working with women, children, and young people who have experienced domestic and family violence
- Knowledge of best practice, professional standards, and relevant research in the field of domestic and family violence
- Demonstrated understanding of cultural contexts influencing practice approaches
- A current valid driver's license
- A Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, or relevant Human Service qualification, or significant experience working in a similar service
