Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the anesthesia department, including staff supervision and coordination with other departments.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement programs to ensure high standards of patient care.
  • Collaborate with hospital administration to purchase supplies and equipment and optimize resource utilization.
  • Counsel and evaluate personnel, making recommendations for promotions, terminations, or disciplinary action as needed.
  • Implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation agency requirements.

Requirements
  • Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
  • Valid CRNA certification required.
  • A minimum of five years' experience as a CRNA in a multispecialty physician group model preferred.
  • Ability to perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist on a regular basis.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the life span and assess data reflective of patients' needs.
