KBR Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Specialist to join our team in Sydney, Australia.

As a key member of our Building Services team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional outcomes on transport, buildings, and Defence infrastructure projects. Your expertise in designing fire service systems will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and efficiency of these projects.

This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work under general supervision as a technical specialist, performing all conventional aspects of Fire Protection while devising new approaches to problems encountered. You will have the autonomy to plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or a Diploma of Fire Systems Design (CPC50520) with NSW registered certifier C14 certification. Additionally, you should have experience in preparing and reviewing reports and technical specifications, including design of wet and dry fire services. Your ability to prepare and verify designs and calculations using manual methods or computer programs will be essential to this role.

You will also have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma of Fire Systems Design (CPC50520) and NSW registered certifier C14 certification
  • Design and document a range of wet and dry fire services systems
  • Read and interpret Fire Engineering Briefs/Reports
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant standards and NCC
  • Knowledge and experience of the project lifecycle
  • Knowledge of engineering design processes for infrastructure projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Revit MEP is desirable
  • Ability to work closely with senior and junior engineers

In exchange for your expertise, we offer an attractive salary package, estimated at $120,000 per annum, based on industry standards and market conditions. This figure may vary depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
