Job Title: Furniture Craftsman

Our organization seeks a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Cabinet Maker. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality furniture pieces that meet our customers' expectations.

  1. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and efficient production processes.
  2. Develop and implement quality control measures to maintain exceptional standards in workmanship and product finish.
  3. Provide guidance and support to new employees to help them adapt to our working methods and policies.
  4. Contribute to the development of work instructions and procedures to enhance productivity and consistency.
  5. Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated to guarantee optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and update project progress to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Align team productivity with build schedules and sequences to maximize efficiency.
  • Capture and document changes in product design and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate rework and repair activities to identify root causes of issues.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions and processes to promote quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Provide assembly support to fill gaps and achieve target deliveries.
  • Train new staff in accordance with our build methodology, work instructions, and WHS policies.
  • Develop and upskill existing employees to meet quality and skill set parameters.
  • Conduct quality checks on completed products or units.
  • Assist in staff allocation to optimize production efficiency.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order.
  • Encourage and train team members in maintaining good housekeeping practices.
  • Adhere to WHS requirements and policies.
