Master Craftsman

Candidates are sought to fill the role of a skilled craftsman who will be responsible for creating high-quality cabinets and furniture.

• Responsibilities:
• Status monitoring and progress updates of Work In Progress (WIP)
• Productivity of team members to align with build schedules and build sequences
• Capture and documentation of relevant changes required in product and/or technical documentation
• Co-ordinate re-work/repair and highlighting causes of problems
• Assist in the development of work instructions and processes to ensure quality, consistency and efficiency
• Providing assembly support as required to fill gaps and achieve target deliveries
• Training of new staff in accordance to build methodology, work instructions and WHS to align with company policies
• Assist in the development/upskilling of existing employees to ensure that all quality/skill set parameters are being met
• Assist in carrying out quality checks on completed vehicle/units in accordance with companies' policies and standards
• Assist in staff allocation to optimize efficiency in production
• Assist staff and departmental supervisor to ensure all parts/appliances/hardware and building material is at required levels for current builds
• Ensuring that all tools and equipment are in good working order and that all staff tooling requirements are met and meet industry standards
• Encouraging and training team members in maintaining good housekeeping practices
• Assisting team members to adhere to WHS requirements and policies

Requirements:

• A reliable individual with a strong ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with cabinet making and furniture production
