Financial Partner - Operations Excellence

Establish yourself as a key player in this Greenfield role and make your mark by taking ownership of critical financial processes.

This exciting opportunity has arisen following the recent acquisition, resulting in numerous projects and a need for a skilled Finance Business Partner to drive financial management and improve operational efficiency.

About the Role:

As a Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for reporting directly to the CFO, providing strategic and operational support to the Business Unit GM and operational team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including Work in Progress, allocation of labour and material costs.
  • Analyzing supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analysis of stock control, a crucial aspect of the role, to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
  • Month-end reporting, forecasting, and budget preparation to ensure accurate financial planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborating with BU General Manager and Operations Managers to enhance processes and profitability through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Preparation of Operating Profit and Cash Forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • Coordinating and preparing monthly financial and operating reports with BU General Manager.
  • Undertaking ad-hoc exercises and projects as required.

Skills & Experience:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • CA/CPA qualification.
  • Essential experience in an industrial, engineering, or project-based industry.
  • Desirable: current or previous experience in a greenfield role where you were responsible for establishing financial processes and project accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in stock control and supply chain optimization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with operations teams.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
