Administrative Support Professional

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Support Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality administrative support at a senior level, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing secretarial support to our Director, including managing their calendar and scheduling meetings, as well as preparing reports, correspondence, agendas, and meeting minutes with accuracy and efficiency.

In addition, the role will involve coordinating and organising meetings, events, and appointments as required, serving as the primary point of contact for enquiries from residents and stakeholders via phone, email, and written correspondence.

The successful candidate will possess advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and strong written and verbal communication skills, with well-developed interpersonal abilities.

A Certificate III in Business Administration or higher is essential, as is previous experience working in a similar role, preferably in a local government council environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level secretarial support to the Director, including managing their calendar and scheduling meetings.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, agendas, and meeting minutes with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate and organise meetings, events, and appointments as required.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for enquiries from residents and stakeholders via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Respond promptly and accurately, providing clear information and appropriate guidance.
Essential Qualifications
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality administrative support at a senior level, with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with well-developed interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing sensitive matters with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Certificate III in Business Administration or higher.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably in a local government council environment.
