Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team.
  1. This role involves the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other statutory documents in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the implementation of our financial control framework during IT transformation projects.
  3. Month-end tasks will include reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, investigation of reporting variances, and provision of regular financial reports to stakeholders.
  4. This position requires strong leadership skills, including mentoring and collaborating with accountants and assistant accountants.
  5. The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for building a strong accounting foundation across all divisions.
  6. A key responsibility of this role is the monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and contribution to stakeholder meetings to assist in the ongoing accrual posting process.
  7. The successful candidate must adhere to a strict financial reporting timetable and liaise with branches, accounts payable, accounts receivable, commercial business partners, and bank as required.
  8. An important aspect of this role is the preparation of the monthly 14-cash flow forecast and providing commentary on prior forecast variances.
  9. The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for ownership of the accounting for stock process.Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in commerce/accounting is essential.
  • CA/CPA accreditation is also required.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a similar position is necessary.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines are crucial.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and logical thinking in approach to tasks are vital.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and stakeholder-engagement abilities are essential.
