Financial Accounting Lead

The Role

As a detail-oriented professional, this position offers hands-on responsibility in financial accounting. Reporting directly to senior leadership and working closely with an external accountant on tax compliance matters.

  • Manage the month-end close process and financial reporting
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions
  • Collaborate with an external accountant on tax compliance, BAS, and statutory reporting
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Maintain accurate general ledger reconciliations
  • Lead and mentor one direct report
About You
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards certification
  • Experience in financial accounting, preferably within the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Ability to confidently liaise with directors and external accountants
  • Hands-on approach with leadership and mentoring skills
Key Requirements
  • Professional certifications: CA/CPA (or equivalent)
  • Industry experience: Financial accounting (construction industry preference)
  • Skills: Month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting
  • Liaison skills: Directors, external accountants
