Job Summary

The Site EHS Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers. This position will be responsible for managing field personnel to ensure compliance with EHS policies, programs, procedures, and legislative standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain EHS reports and records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Develop and implement EHS training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to ensure employees are aware of potential hazards and take necessary precautions.
  • Develop and maintain EHS procedures and protocols for emergency response and crisis management.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement EHS metrics and reporting to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS, with a focus on field services and operations.
  • OSHA 30 training and certification.
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of in-country safety regulatory requirements and OHSA regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master's degree in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, or related field.
  • Experience working in a global energy company or similar industry.
  • Knowledge of EHS management systems and software.
  • Certification in EHS management or related field.
  • Fluency in multiple languages.
