We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Health and Wellbeing Advisor to join our team at Norco-Co. As a key member of our health and wellbeing team, you will play a vital role in promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Injury Management: Lead early intervention and workers' compensation processes to ensure timely and effective support for injured workers.
- Training & Coaching: Empower managers and supervisors in injury reporting and management, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to identify and address workplace hazards.
- Strategic Planning: Drive WHS improvements and compliance with legislation, working closely with senior management to develop and implement strategies that promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Research: Collaborate with external research agencies to develop evidence-based wellbeing initiatives that enhance employee engagement, productivity, and overall wellbeing.
- Data Analysis: Review and analyse injury reports to inform strategic decisions, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Legislation Updates: Stay ahead of changes in workers' compensation and WHS laws, ensuring that our policies and procedures remain compliant and up-to-date.
- Initiative Development: Plan and implement wellbeing and injury management initiatives that promote a positive and supportive work culture.
- External Coordination: Manage pre-employment medicals, workplace assessments, and other external requirements to ensure seamless onboarding and integration of new employees.
- Accident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents, determining causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Accreditation: NSW Workover Advanced RTW Coordinator (can be obtained after commencing in the role).
- Education: Degree in Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, or Health and Rehabilitation.
- Experience: Proven track record in developing rehabilitation and education programs, with a strong focus on injury prevention and management.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of health and wellbeing principles, including injury management, occupational rehabilitation, and mental health.
- Skills: Strong investigative, mentoring, and analytical abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
