Hotel Reservations Professional

Description:

The Hotel Reservations Professional will play a vital role in the pre-opening phase of the hotel, establishing operational foundations and ways of working for the Reservations Function.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to guests seeking information on services, rates, and availability.
  • Coordinating and supporting guests throughout their booking process.
  • Handling inquiries, modifications, cancellations, and rebooking efficiently across multiple channels.
  • Maintaining rate parity across booking platforms, managing inventory balancing, and ensuring correct application of segment codes, deposits, and cancellation policies.
  • Liaising with travel agents, tour operators, and external platforms to identify upselling opportunities and maximize revenue through added services and upgrades.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Hotel Reservations at a Manager capacity or minimum 1 year at Supervisor level, or a closely related position in hotel operations/commercial; previous experience in Hotel Opening or Conversion is highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Fluent in professional English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations with composure.
  • A passionate team player, able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, as this role may require shift work and weekend availability.
