Our multinational client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join their team for a 12-month fixed term contract in Australia. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the preparation of multicurrency consolidated financial statements and provide technical accounting support in a global context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review annual multicurrency consolidated financial statements for Australian operations, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.
  • Liaise with external audit teams to ensure smooth and accurate reporting, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to quarterly financial reports, responding to queries from the global parent company and providing timely solutions.
  • Provide technical accounting support for various business units, leveraging expertise in consolidation and financial reporting tools.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and structuring initiatives as required, applying knowledge of sustainability reporting standards.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A self-motivated individual with strong commercial acumen, possessing a CA/CPA qualification or nearing completion, with 4-5 years' post-graduation experience.
  • Experience in Big 4 audit or business services, multinational, or listed corporations is preferred, along with solid exposure to IFRS and advanced MS Office skills.
  • The ideal candidate will be proficient in consolidation and financial reporting tools, with the ability to engage with key stakeholders across the business and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
