Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Alfred Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to infants, children, young people, and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Manage referrals to the service with timely, compassionate, and supportive responses, working collaboratively with the child, young person, their families/carers, and existing support networks.
- Undertake intake assessments (including triage and crisis responses) and make decisions about allocation of referrals to ensure best outcomes, supporting an integrated and streamlined pathway.
- Single-session primary consultations and brief interventions, underpinned by Dialogical Practices.
- Secondary consultations to key external services, building capacity, developing partnerships, and collaborative working.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in working with children, young people, and families, as well as relevant stakeholders to support successful transitions through early life stages. You will also need a current Victorian Driver's License, to complete/provide a valid Victorian Working with Children Check, be willing to undergo a background check, and require Australian working rights.
