Risk Governance Manager

The role of Senior Risk Governance Professional involves leading the development and implementation of comprehensive risk management frameworks across various business units. This entails collaborating with senior stakeholders to design and implement operational and compliance risk mitigation strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining up-to-date risk management policies and procedures;
- Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential exposures and recommend corrective actions;
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement control enhancements;
- Providing expert guidance on regulatory requirements and industry best practices;
- Investigating and managing control breaches or failures;
- Managing stakeholder relationships at senior levels to ensure effective communication and collaboration;
- Leading compliance and assurance measures through senior internal management;
- Providing training and guidance to ensure internal controls and processes are adhered to.
Requirements for this position include a graduate qualification in relevant studies, such as a Chartered Accounting Qualification (CA), and a minimum of 5 years experience in banking, preferably in a senior risk or compliance management role within a banking or financial services firm.
