
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Project Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage projects addressing domestic and family violence and related reforms. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of these issues.
- Demonstrated understanding of domestic and family violence and related reforms is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of challenges and opportunities for remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities is required.
- Able to communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and have knowledge of both cultures and societies from a historical and contemporary perspective.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and implement projects to deliver improved outcomes for Queenslanders.
- Provide expert advice on issues related to domestic and family violence and contribute to the region's response to government initiatives.
- Work closely with community organisations and communities to raise awareness of domestic and family violence and develop referral pathways.
- Identify and develop culturally appropriate solutions to enhance service provision in local communities.
You will collaborate with service providers to ensure services meet local needs and are delivered in a culturally sensitive manner.
