About the Role

The Cadet Site Manager position at ABN Group is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven individual to progress to a Site Manager role. As a Cadet Site Manager, you will participate in a 6-month training program that provides personalized training and exposure to all aspects of the role and business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a comprehensive training program that covers Stage 1 and 2 Site Manager roles, warranties, operations, and medium-density construction.
  • Undertake ride-along training with a Regional Construction Manager to gain leadership exposure.
  • Work closely with a Senior Stage 2 Site Manager through a buddy system and ride-along training.
  • Develop and maintain high standards of paperwork, including reports on job progress, status, costs, inefficiencies, and future programs.
  • Ensure quality construction standards are met and identify opportunities for reducing waste, extras, and minimizing errors.
  • Promote and maintain safe work protocols at all times and promote good work practices and quality control outcomes within the trade base.

Requirements

  • Be an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn individual with a keen interest in construction and ambitions to become a Site Manager.
  • Have a can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Be passionate and enthusiastic about working in the building industry.
  • Have IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft suite and other programs.
  • Be able to develop professional relationships with colleagues and trades.
  • Have excellent active listening skills.
