Sustainment Officer - Cyberspace Operations

The role involves leading a team to develop and implement strategies that support the sustainment of equipment in accordance with Defence requirements. The Sustainment Officer will be responsible for managing workflows, resources, and tasks, as well as preparing work area and team plans detailing measurable milestones and expected outcomes.

This position is part of the Cyberspace Operations Systems Program Office (COSPO), which acquires and sustains information warfare systems to support ADF mission in cyberspace. Reporting to the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager, the ILS Officer's primary purpose is to ensure that all ILS activities meet the objectives across various COSPO Product Lines and to enable communication and collaboration between COSPO teams in support of ILS outcomes.

As an ILS Officer, you will engage actively in driving outcomes in an autonomous and agile environment. You will be involved in the Engineering Change and Quarterly Materiel Review (QMR) process, participating in forums such as the:

- Product Management Forum (PMF)

- Material System Review meetings

The primary objective is to ensure that the Engineering Change Process incorporates ILS requirements for product design changes. You will work with key project stakeholders, such as the Asset Manager, Configuration Manager, Software Asset Officer, and Software Maintenance Officer, to maintain configuration and quality standards aligned with COPSO Engineering and Maintenance Management Systems.

You must understand internal process flows, identify risks, issues, and opportunities related to ILS support, and lead daily toolbox, sustainment risk management meetings, and the process improvement working group (PIWG). This requires leadership and proactive problem-solving skills.
