Job Title: Senior Cyber Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cyber Security Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in information security, compliance assessments and international and government security compliance frameworks and standards.

  • Provide strategic advice on security strategies to manage identified risks and ensure adoption and adherence to standards.
  • Conduct security risk assessments, business impact analysis and accreditation on complex information systems.
  • Investigate major breaches of security and recommend appropriate control improvements.

The role requires the ability to work across multiple projects, communicate effectively with stakeholders and contribute to the development of information security policy, standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Risk Management: Identify, assess and mitigate potential security risks to protect against cyber threats.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations and industry standards for information security.
  • Incident Response: Investigate and respond to security incidents, implementing effective mitigation strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT security architecture/modelling.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the design and implementation of practical solutions to information security risks and issues.
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations and industry standards for information security.
