Content Author Specialist

As a member of the Plant Systems and Strategies Branch, you will work in a motivated team with a wide range of skill sets and backgrounds. Your logical problem solving and people engagement skills will be utilized to collaborate with clients to author, operationalise and publish BICON content requirements.
The Content Change Team maintains and improves the Biosecurity Import Conditions database (BICON) to allow external clients to understand and comply with their biosecurity obligations and internal clients to effectively mitigate biosecurity risk.
Key duties include:
- Constructing decision tree structures in the BICON system, according to system rules and authoring conventions.
- Implementing changes to import and permit conditions in alignment with service standards while complying with system rules and authoring conventions.
- Providing technical advice through various formats on the most appropriate means of authoring content in BICON to achieve program objectives.
- Performing administrative tasks including system reporting, data analysis and basic scoping tasks for the BICON content change work program.
- Contributing to projects to progress continuous content improvement initiatives and deliver content outcomes.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Using workflow management tools to maintain detailed records of changes to import conditions and key decisions.
