As a key player in the strategic delivery of water catchment and estuary management programs, we are seeking a dedicated Waterway Programs Officer to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and creative individual to combine fieldwork, research, and strategic planning to make a real impact on our catchments and waterways.

The successful candidate will have a variety of work environments, from the beautiful outdoors of our bushland shire and the scenic Hawkesbury estuary to laboratory work and collaboration with a passionate team of environmental officers in our modern office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Tasks: Drive 4WDs, operate boats, and conduct fieldwork to monitor and maintain water quality.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage grants, scheduling; calibrate monitoring equipment.
  • Responsive Action: Address unscheduled tasks like compliance issues, customer inquiries, and special requests from leadership.

We're looking for a problem-solver who is passionate about protecting and enhancing our natural environment. In this role, you'll use your innovative thinking to gather, analyze, and present data to diverse audiences.

You'll take a hands-on approach to outdoor work, planning and executing projects that make a tangible difference to our waterways.
