Electrical Inspector Job Description

This role involves ensuring compliance across the electricity distribution network by participating in on-call rosters and conducting site meetings with customers and project managers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Respond to customer inquiries and assist with compliance issues related to rules, regulations, standards, and policies.">
  • Consult with REC regarding switchboard and SLD drawings, metering, and supply arrangements.">
  • Attend site meetings with customers and project managers.">
  • Support the Network Connections team with all metering and connection or customer project queries.">
  • Collaborate with the Dispatch and Control Room to address faults and emergencies.">
  • Provide technical guidance to internal staff and electricity professionals.">
  • Investigate customer complaints and issue defect notices.">
  • Facilitate customer connections to the network and ensure timely completion of work activity records.">

Skills and Qualifications:

">

We are looking for someone with strong technical expertise, hands-on experience, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of regulatory requirements, including ESA, ES(G)R's, VSIR's, AS3000, AS2067, AS3010, AS5033, AS5139, and VESI ISTC procedures. They will also have proven skills in inspection, customer service, stakeholder engagement, and ability to work autonomously or closely within a team environment.

  • G Class Electrical Inspectors Licence (V Class endorsement highly desirable).">
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence.">
