Packaging Operations Supervisor

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the packaging operations team and contribute to our company's success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily packing operations to meet production schedules.
  • Ensure products are accurately weighed, sealed, labeled, and packed to customer and regulatory specifications.
  • Monitor packing efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Leadership Requirements
  • Supervise, train, and support packaging team members to ensure high performance and adherence to procedures.
  • Manage staff rosters, breaks, and timekeeping to optimize productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Foster a positive safety and food safety culture within the packaging team.
Work Environment
  • Packing work is performed in a chilled or ambient production environment.
  • PPE must be worn in accordance with site requirements.
  • May involve early starts, shift work or weekend work depending on operational needs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in packing or production roles.
  • Prior experience supervising a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Sound understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety compliance.
  • Forklift license (preferred but not essential).
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
