This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Officer to join a leading Federal Government Agency. The agency is known for its service delivery against key projects that have a direct impact on the Australian Community, with a nationwide presence and a significant role in the growth and development of the Australian Government.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level executive and project coordination services to the Chief People Officer and the broader sections of the People Branch.
- Manage communications, project management, and implement strategies to support the achievement of the agency's strategic and operational objectives.
- Proactively manage workflow through the office of the Chief People Officer, including providing analysis, advice, and coordinating follow-up to ensure priorities and deadlines are met.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the office of the Chief People Officer.
- Produce correspondence and communications materials on behalf of the Chief People Officer.
- Attend meetings with the Chief People Officer and/or other directors of the People Branch to assist with actions arising relating to enabling services delivery during preparation for any upcoming electoral events.
- Coordinate the work of selected governance committees and working groups as required.
- Provide analysis and judgement on complex issues and make significant contributions to the management, preparation, and coordination of policy formulation and/or project management on behalf of the Chief People Officer.
- Develop and actively manage key internal and external relationships, including collaborating with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes, and facilitate cooperation.
- Represent the branch in various forums.
- Sound knowledge and experience in successfully managing, coordinating, and delivering results within time restraints and with competing priorities.
- Proven ability to communicate with influence, negotiate strategic outcomes, and manage strategic stakeholder relationships on behalf of the Chief People Officer and People Branch.
- Proven strategic conceptual, advisory, and analytical abilities with sound knowledge of change management practices and techniques to enable innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff within People Branch while developing capabilities and embedding professionalism.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, including the planning of project timeline, establishing delivery milestones, setting and allocating key deliverable items, and the overarching management of wide range of key stakeholders to meet critical deadlines.
- Demonstrated personal drive, integrity, trust, and discretion while achieving results within legislative and budget parameters.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in management, business, public administration, or similar.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Commonwealth frameworks, including Resource Management.
- Political neutrality.
- Australian citizen.
- Baseline Security Clearance.
- Character clearance, including a police check.
