About the Position

We are seeking a highly accomplished and successful Head Coach to lead our NBL1 Women's team in the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in coaching women's basketball, with a proven track record of success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership:
    • Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive team strategy, aligned with our organization's values and long-term vision.
    • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and professionalism among team members.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with players, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Talent Acquisition & Roster Management:
    • Recruit and assemble a competitive roster, in consultation with our Head of Basketball.
    • Identify and develop high-potential players, providing opportunities for growth and advancement.
    • Balance the roster to achieve success while promoting player development and team cohesion.
  • Coaching & Game Strategy:
    • Develop and implement effective game plans, taking into account opponent strengths and weaknesses.
    • Mentor and coach individual players to enhance their skills and performance.
    • Adapt strategies to respond to changing circumstances during games.
  • Operations & Community Engagement:
    • Manage team operations, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to organizational policies.
    • Promote the team and our organization within the community, through various outreach initiatives.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Valid NSW Working With Children Check
  • Association Coach Accreditation (Level 2) or higher
  • Valid driver's licence
