  • The successful candidate will assist with the coordination of on-site construction engineering activities, ensuring that short-term planning and programming are completed in conjunction with site supervision.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals, and standards, as well as JHG SQE Risk Management process.
  • Conduct and administer overall job planning and programming, including short-range and intermediate activities for construction projects, for approval by the Project Manager.
  • Input information and undertake minor design on site, monitoring, and recommending changes to design details to increase ease of construction.
  • Exercising professional judgment in resolving engineering issues, such as construction methods, design, engineering procedures, etc.
  • Demonstrating financial management skills, including reducing costs and meeting budgets.
  • Verifying subcontractors' claims and variations.
  • Implementing and communicating risk controls and actions involved in project delivery and implementation.
  • Reporting on project performance, compliance, defects, and non-conformance.
  • Undertaking safety, environment, and quality risk assessments to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.
Requirements
  • Construction management and technical skills relevant to the program of work and discipline area.
  • Experience in planning, development, and review of complex projects.
  • Implementation of audits and schedule processes.
  • Skills in document and record management, progress, and performance reporting.
  • Risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls in project delivery.
  • Proficiency in relevant software: Microsoft Suite; Primavera 6 (advantageous), Aconex, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, including facilitating meetings and basic cost control skills.
