Job Role Overview

The role focuses on conducting assessments to ensure personnel are eligible and suitable to access national security information. This involves collaborating with stakeholders to support organisational change and key projects.

This includes policy writing, policy amendments, and managing security incident reporting. Additionally, the role involves mentoring and ensuring quality assurance on national security clearances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in policy development and implementation for national security clearance.
  • Conduct interviews and manage security incident reporting, including aftercare and risk assessments.
  • Mentor Regional Vetting Officers and ensure quality assurance on national security clearances.
  • Participate in project teams for counter-terrorism initiatives and provide advice on security and counter-terrorism command activities.
  • Support administrative and organisational tasks through various groups.
  • Liaise with stakeholders handling sensitive information.
  • Represent the organisation at forums.
Requirements

Security Clearance

Must obtain and maintain a negative vetting level 2 security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Diploma of government security or certificate IV government security (personnel vetting) is highly regarded.
  • Willingness to undertake further training for industry qualifications.

Experience

  • A minimum of 12 months in a similar position is highly regarded.
