Fixed, Full-Time opportunity in a critical role within the justice system. We seek an officer to provide expertise on family violence information sharing projects.
About the Business UnitThe Department's Custodial Division is responsible for managing Victoria's prison system and Post Sentence Scheme. This division convenes state-wide managers' meetings, monitors performance, and responds to family violence queries.
The division includes teams providing authoritative advice, briefing papers, and operational support. This role supports the Operations Directorate with matters relating to prisons and family violence, including managing correspondence and liaising with other units.
About the RoleThis role involves managing prisoner-related correspondence, liaising with other units, and providing advice to prison staff about family violence matters. Key duties include:
- Conducting reviews of prison operations related to the family violence in prisons framework.
- Maintaining a local database for analyzing and reporting data on family violence information sharing.
To succeed in this role, you will have sound knowledge of the Victorian prison system and experience using relevant systems.
