About us
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The main responsibility of this role is to process requests for information in line with protocols, ministerial guidelines, and the legislative requirement of the:
- Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme
- Child Information Sharing Scheme
- Information Sharing Protocol between Courts and DFFH Child Protection
- Information Sharing Protocol between Courts and the Family and Federal Courts of Australia; and
- National Strategic Framework for Information Sharing between the Family Law Court and family violence and child protection systems.
About you
- Be a contact point for information sharing
- Process requests for information including data gathering and storage
- Provide advice to court staff as to when information can be shared and provide guidance on an established complaints policy and process as required by relevant information sharing protocol or legislation
- Provide support to the FVPPU with the implementation of the MARAM and other initiatives
- Other duties as required, commensurate with the classification of the role
- Relevant qualification in family violence or another field regarded.
