Key Responsibilities- Financial Performance Management: Monitor financial performance and profitability across air, ocean, LCL, and FCL service lines.
- Process Development: Develop and implement standards, procedures, internal controls, and processes aligned with accounting standards.
- Pricing Optimisation: Support pricing and margin optimisation initiatives for freight forwarding services.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial and management accounts.
- Working Capital Management: Oversee working capital, including receivables, payables, and cash flow optimisation.
- Currency Management: Facilitate freight forwarding-specific considerations, such as banking arrangements, pre-payments, currency hedging, and trade-related credit.
- Operational Collaboration: Collaborate closely with operations teams to understand shipment billing, carrier costs, insurance, consolidation/deconsolidation, and customs charges.
- Finance Transformation: Lead finance transformation initiatives, including ERP, automation, BI dashboards, and analytics tools.
- Business Partnership: Cross-functionally collaborate with Ops, Sales, Customs, and Commercial teams for forecasting, cost control, and pricing discussions.
- Quarterly Forecasting: Oversee quarterly forecast and yearly budgeting processes.
- Talent Development: Lead and mentor finance professionals, promoting performance and succession.
