Child Sexual Abuse Response Specialist

Job Description:

This role involves building the capacity of practitioners, organizations, and communities to respond effectively to child sexual abuse. The successful candidate will design and deliver professional learning programs that drive practice change and strengthen sector responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver professional learning activities including workshops, webinars, e-learning, and blended courses.
  • Apply adult learning principles to design inclusive, engaging, and practical learning experiences across diverse sector contexts.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with practitioners, sector partners, victims, and survivors, and other key stakeholders in consultation with internal teams.
  • Collaborate with experts to ensure safe, ethical, and supported engagement with survivors, so their expertise meaningfully informs all initiatives.
  • Manage projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget and to agreed quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A relevant qualification in social sciences, education, community development, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering capability-building initiatives, ideally within the health, community, or social services sectors.
  • Confident and skilled facilitation skills, able to deliver engaging and inclusive trainings, workshops, and professional learning programs tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to translate complex evidence and research into practical resources and tools that drive practice change.
  • Experience engaging respectfully and effectively with people with lived and living experience, ensuring their voices shape outcomes.
  • Natural collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Flexibility and agility, with the ability to adapt quickly to emerging needs, shifting priorities, and evolving sector contexts.
  • Alignment with the mission to disrupt child sexual abuse and bring about systemic change.
