The Role of an In-Work Support Mentor is to provide ongoing support and guidance to individuals who have secured employment. The mentor will play a critical role in helping participants navigate the challenges of their new roles and ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to succeed.
">Key Responsibilities- Mentor and coach individuals to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their new roles.
- Provide regular check-ins with participants to address workplace issues and connect them with additional support services as needed.
- Collaborate with employers to foster positive working relationships.
- A background in Employment Services or a related industry is highly advantageous but not essential for the role.
- A qualification such as a Cert IV in Employment Services is highly regarded, but not an essential requirement.
- A valid Police Check and Working with Children Check are mandatory prior to commencement of employment.
- A myGovID is required to access Government data aligned to the role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and employers.
- Ability to balance empathy, dignity, and respect in daily work with a drive to achieve positive business outcomes.
