About the Initiative

Fostering mental well-being through accessible physical activity is our core goal. As a Volunteer Walking Facilitator, you will be instrumental in designing engaging initiatives that promote social connection and time spent in nature.

We believe that every individual can make a positive impact when empowered with opportunities for growth and development. Our community has already made significant strides in improving mental health across the region, with over 7,700 members actively participating in various programs.

The Rotary Club of Northbridge is a service-based organization dedicated to making a tangible difference in our neighbourhood and beyond. Through hands-on projects, fundraising events, and social initiatives, we strive to uplift and support local communities.

The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who share our vision of promoting mental well-being and community connection. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, enjoyment, and inclusivity of our weekly walking group.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create a warm and inviting environment for all participants.
  • Promote conversation and connection among walkers.
  • Ensure the overall success and satisfaction of the group.
Requirements

A genuine interest in mental health and community development. Reliable attendance and commitment to regular sessions. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Experience in group facilitation is highly desirable but not essential.
