We are seeking a skilled mobile app developer to fill this key role.

Job Description:

The primary focus will be on implementing new user interfaces and features together with automated unit and integration tests.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing new features and user interfaces from wireframe models
  • Improving software performance by fixing bugs and addressing technical issues
  • Writing clean, readable, and testable code
  • Collaborating with back-end developers, designers, and the rest of the team to deliver well-architected and high-quality solutions

Requirements:

This role requires a final year student, or recent graduate of a tertiary qualification in Information Technology & Commerce. Strong working knowledge of Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile is essential.

Aptitude for IT Operations and strong working knowledge of SDLC using Agile is required.

Familiarity with, and ideally some experience with the following skills is also necessary:

  • Mobile app development frameworks such as Flutter/ Kotlin/ Java/ Swift/ Objective-C/ JavaScript/ C#
  • RESTful APIs, Git

Passionate about customer focus by understanding customer needs is important.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of mobile app development, including the whole process from the first line of code to publishing in the store(s)
  • Deep knowledge of IOS and Android operating systems
  • Understanding of architectural patterns—MVP, MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture—and the ability to choose the best solution for the app
  • Proficiency in version control systems like Git
  • Ability to develop scalable, maintainable, and efficient software solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in mobile app development
